Your Role as a Administrative Assistant:
- Student Records & Documentation – Maintain and update student folders, process paperwork, and manage mailings for reports, attendance, and notifications.
- Attendance Tracking – Ensure accurate attendance coding in PowerSchool.
- PowerSchool Management – Create and update student accounts, track tardiness/early dismissals, schedule transportation, and generate reports.
- Administrative Support – Assist the Clinical Director with scheduling, reports, and general administrative tasks.
- Professionalism & Compliance – Maintain professional communication, follow workplace policies, and ensure timely, accurate documentation.
- Procedural Support – Assist the Clinical Director in establishing proper paperwork procedures.
- Community Engagement – Foster positive interactions with customers and community members to support program growth.
- Program Knowledge – Utilize relevant SCM terminology in all restraint-specific documentation.
- Classroom & Lunch Coverage – Provide support as needed.
- Training & Compliance – Attend and complete SCM training, submit documentation promptly, and adhere to all program guidelines.
Required Qualifications:
- Possess a High School Diploma or GED.
- Posses a strong organizational, time management, oral/written communication, and computer application skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and possess excellent phone skills.
- Familiar with OH Department of Education regulations.
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of prioritizing tasks and making timely decisions.
- Capable of working at a desk and computer for extended periods.
- Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor.
Preferred (Nice to Have) Qualifications:
- Prior experience with PowerSchool Student Information Software is preferred.
- Basic understanding of common behavioral disorders in children and adolescents.
- Ability to build effective relationships with students, parents/guardians, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Ability to perform non-violent crisis intervention techniques, including verbal and physical redirection of aggressive students.
- Able to react swiftly and physically intervene to prevent harm to students or others.
- Understand mental health services and support systems.
- Ability to assist in evacuating students during emergencies.
