ESTIMATED PAY RANGE
$85,000 - $100,000 DOE
PROJECT LOCATION
Onsite - Burnsville or Faribault, MN
Upon project completion (TBD), transition to onsite in our Brooklyn Park Applied Engineering Office
JOB SUMMARY
As a CAD Engineering Administrator in Brooklyn Park, you may: provide technical support for CAD software and enforce CAD standards; manage staff, projects, and procurement as it relates to CAD support; maintain documentation records of design deliverables; diagnose and resolve issues and perform routine maintenance with the CAD system, including hardware, software, and operator error; administer security controls to protect the system's data files; set up and validate backups for the system and workstations (in collaboration with IT systems); provide technical support and assistance to end users; coordinate the review of error reports and follow up on backlogs (reporting back to Solution Builders on recurring issues like VPN drops); support engineering software, including upgrading, installing service packs, and managing licenses and work collaboratively with suppliers and other Applied partners.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor of Science Degree in an Engineering discipline required
- Extensive experience managing SolidWorks/PDM/PLM across multiple sites
- Ability to manage AutoCAD and PCB design software and to create and enforce CAD modeling and drawing standards
- Ability to train and support CAD users
- Proficient and power user of MS Office (especially in MS Word and Excel)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with both technical and non-technical audience
- Experience with SolidWorks API, Electrical, DriveWorks, CPQ, OrCAD and Epicor a plus
