We’ve invested heavily in the latest automated sheet metal equipment and are building a high-level maintenance team to keep up with all the new technology.

The ideal candidate will be officially trained in electro-mechanical skills, passionate about high-tech manufacturing, and be excited to participate in high-performance systems with lots of problem solving and team building. Bonus points if you have previous experience with cutting lasers, CNC punches, Trumpf or Salvagnini operating systems!

**8 hours per day, Monday-Friday 9:00AM-5:00PM or 10:00AM-6:00PM. Hours can be flexible for the right candidate.**

Summary: Perform routine preventative maintenance and unscheduled repair of computer-controlled and traditional architecture style metal working equipment used in Applied Laser Technologies (ALT) production facilities. Activities are focused to maximize production capacity, minimize production delays, and maintain safe and reliable machine operations by performing the following duties.

Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

1. Possess and actively apply a working knowledge of computers, electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, laser and robotic basic operational principles. Understanding of the control strategies and theory of operations for each of the aforementioned. *

2. Diagnose malfunctions and repair breakdowns of electrical components, laser, hydraulic, mechanical, and pneumatic assemblies that may or may not be functioning directly under PLC automation control in machines utilized throughout the company. *

3. On matters that require seeking advanced technical support from the original equipment manufacturer’s technical support staff. Communicate technical information and data effectively, demonstrate strong interpersonal relations skills and interact appropriately in a manner that enhances ALT’s company image at all times. *

4. Perform regular scheduled Preventative Maintenance (PM) on machines, equipment, and plant facilities. Be proactive and observant while you work. Carefully looking for signs of unusual wear patterns and potential premature failures or identify safety concerns. Report any unusual situations to proper supervision. *

5. Responsible for following all proper Safety Initiatives including; Energy Isolation, Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO) procedures and absolute compliance with all company safety and personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements. *

6. Familiar with the use a wide variety of tools and test equipment. Possess knowledge of how to operate mobile equipment and power tools or a strong desire to learn.

7. Prioritize work within your assignments to ensure timely completion with little supervision. *

8. Updates knowledge base of existing and potential equipment and electronic devices through the reading of manuals, meetings with vendors, off site training, and discussion with internal staff. *

9. Identifies safety hazards to machine operators and communicates them to their supervisor as necessary for corrective action. *

10. Maintains machine records and maintenance history. *

11. Provides technical direction to shop personnel during repairs. *

12. Contributes to any team with which you are working with to ensure consistent product and cooperative communication. *

13. Identifies and/or cooperates with potential opportunities for efficiency/productivity increases and cost reduction strategies. *

14. Maintains a clean and organized work area. *

15. Strives to assume the company’s commitments as your own and fulfills them with a sense of pride and urgency. *

Education/Experience:

Associate degree (A.A./A.S.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or four to six years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Specialized Training:

Electromechanical degree or Maintenance Technician apprentice certificate.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $27.00 - $33.50 per hour
