Applied Materials’ Environmental Health and Safety Team is searching for an intern to join our team! We are seeking a EHS Intern to join us for a 12-week duration and gain exposure to a variety of processes behind workplace safety.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Working under general supervision, become familiar with Applied Materials products, processes and systems, especially ion implanter and Plasma doping units (PLAD).
Gain an understanding of Product Safety global operations and PDP/iQMS requirements to effectively implement Product EH&S programs and policies.
Support internal customers and external customers on complex code compliance issues, legal issues, and corporate responsibility issues.
Participate in and learn about 3rd party compliance evaluation of products, programs, and facilities per company and governmental requirements.
Participate in the ECO/ECR evaluation and analysis of concept and feasibility studies. Participate in product event (PSER) investigations.
Assist with failure analysis and corrective action tracking. Assist with Product Safety training program development for operations. Take DFSE training class.
Perform component specification product safety reviews in Agile.
Perform SEMI S6 tracer gas testing. Perform Ionizing radiation surveys.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Student must be pursuing a master's or bachelor’s degree program in a Electrical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related field and returning to their studies upon completion of internship.
- Student must be available to start May/June and end their 12 weeks ~Aug/Sept
