Position Description
As a Calibration Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the precision and reliability of Applied Medical’s equipment. You will be at the heart of our calibration operations, managing scheduling, coordination, and documentation while working closely with internal teams and external service vendors. Key Responsibilities:
- Scheduling and Coordination: Schedule and coordinate calibration services with internal teams and external vendors to ensure minimal disruption to operations.
- Record Maintenance: Maintain and update calibration records in both hard files and the ERP system to ensure compliance and accuracy.
- Equipment Logistics: Ensure timely pickup, delivery, and inspection of calibrated equipment, managing logistics efficiently.
- Certificate Verification: Review and verify calibration certificates for accuracy and compliance with industry standards.
- Cross-Department Collaboration: Work closely with maintenance and quality control departments to uphold company standards and improve operational efficiency.
Within your first 30 days:
- Gain a comprehensive understanding of company calibration procedures and policies.
- Develop familiarity with internal teams and external vendors.
- Shadow team members to observe current calibration workflows and assist in scheduling and coordinating a small set of calibration activities.
Within your first 60 days:
- Independently manage the scheduling and coordination of calibration services to ensure timely pickup, delivery, and return of calibration equipment.
- Strengthen relationships with key vendors and internal stakeholders.
- Identify and propose process enhancements for greater efficiency.
Within your first 90 days:
- Fully own and manage the calibration coordination process with minimal supervision.
- Ensure all calibration activities are performed on schedule and in compliance with standards.
- Analyze and report trends in calibration delays or inefficiencies.
- Contribute to long-term improvements in calibration and maintenance workflows.
Position Requirements
- Minimum of two years of experience in a coordination or logistics role.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook and Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with vendors and internal teams.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment with shifting priorities.
- Capability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
- Valid driver’s license with the ability to safely operate a company vehicle for job-related tasks.
Preferred
- Familiarity with SAP or similar enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems is highly desirable.
