As an Ortho Clinical Sales Specialist, you will be responsible for selling the clinical value of the Alexis Orthopaedic Protector directly to surgeons. You will promote the benefits of using the Alexis Orthopaedic Protector in surgeries, such as total hip and shoulder replacements. In this role, you will cover a large geography and schedule product evaluations with surgeons and surgical groups. You will also work closely with our existing Field team for each account. You will be responsible for driving growth and utilization of our Alexis Orthopaedic Protector by performing the following activities:
- Establish and maintain relationships with surgeons and key contacts in assigned hospital accounts
- Exceed quota expectations as established by management
- Provide the highest levels of support and service to your accounts
Position Requirements
- Minimum of 1-2 years of documented, successful experience in outside sales (B2B or similar)
- Basic sales training
- Resourceful, goal-oriented, self-starter with a strong entrepreneurial drive
- Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
- Demonstrated performance record with clear documentation of success
- Must live in the geographical location of the position or be willing to relocate
- Ability to travel for applicable training classes
- Completion of a college degree (Bachelor’s degree or higher)
- Applied Medical Field Team Members must be able to meet third party credentialing requirements, which may include but are not limited to COVID-19 vaccination.
- Relevant experience in orthopaedic procedures (joint, hip, shoulder)
- Relevant medical device and operating room experience
- Existing knowledge base of anatomy and physiology focused on the musculoskeletal system
- Cold calling experience to surgeons and physician assistants.
- Experience building relationships with OR directors, nurse managers, clinical coordinators, nurse educators and materials management administrators
- Successful completion of a formal sales training program
- Existing established relationships and/or understanding of the medical device market
