Summary
As the Accounting Operations Manager, you will play a crucial role in the financial operations of the organization overseeing the AP, AR, and Payroll functions. Your primary responsibilities will include supervising a team of employees. The successful candidate will serve as support for both external and internal audits.
Job Responsibilities
Accounts Payable 50%

Oversee companys invoice processing, vendor payments, and reconciliation activities

Ensure payments are made accurately, on time, and in compliance with company policies

Generate and analyze accounts payable reports for management review

Hire, train, and manage AP personnel
-
Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency in accounts payable procedures
-
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement best practices
-
Assist internal and external auditor for accounts payables
-
Resolve vendor disputes and manage escalations effectively
-
Other duties to assist Controller
Payroll 30%

Oversee final payroll entries and adjustments, analyze payroll reports, and execute final submission for payroll

Hire, train, and manage payroll accountant personnel
-
Complete quarterly payroll tax reconciliations and annual payroll taxes, including W2s and 1095s
-
Collaborate with Human Resources department in regards to payroll

Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency in payroll procedures

Assist internal and external auditor for payroll

Other duties to assist Controller
Accounts Receivable 20%

Oversee companys end-to-end accounts receivable process, including invoicing, collections, and reconciliation

Monitor outstanding accounts to reduce aging balances and ensure timely payments

Coordinate with Treasury team to manage the cash flow
-
Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency in accounts receivable procedures

Assist internal and external auditor for accounts receivable

Other duties to assist Controller
Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

Prefer 3-5 years of experience in AP/AR/Payroll
-
Prefer 2 years of direct people management experience

Familiarity with accounting software and ERP systems, familiar with SAP is a plus

Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations.

Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.

Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
-
Ability to meet deadlines and work well under pressure.

Intermediate in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP up, HLOOKUP, pivot table, etc.) and other relevant software applications.
Location
This position will be on-site based in Sugar Land, Texas.
