What are the responsibilities and job description for the Manager Project Management position at Applied Resource Group?
Key Responsibilities:
- Review purchase orders for pricing, contracts, and project scope.
- Organize and lead order entry meetings and manage documentation.
- Source and coordinate externally supplied materials, subcontractors, and services.
- Conduct site visits, assess field conditions, and ensure alignment with project needs.
- Oversee project schedules, budgets, and scope changes while mitigating risks.
- Manage client relationships, vendor partnerships, and project reporting.
- Lead process improvements by implementing a new project management system.
- Mentor and develop a growing project management team.
Qualifications:
- 5 years of project management experience (food/plastics industry preferred).
- 3 years of people management experience, with a focus on team-building and culture development.
- Strong skills in client relations, communication, and problem-solving.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, and project tracking tools.
- Experience researching, recommending, and integrating new PM systems.
- PMP certification preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- SAP (ERP) experience is a plus.
Must-Haves:
- Ability to transition project management from spreadsheets to a structured system.
- Experience in selecting and implementing PM software.
- Background in construction or related industries is a plus.
- Leadership in team development and fostering a strong project culture.
