A confidential manufacturing client is seeking an experienced Senior SAP PP (Production Planning) Analyst with deep experience in assembly or fabrication environments. This role is critical to enhancing planning, production execution, and inventory management processes by supporting, maintaining, and continuously improving SAP capabilities within a high-performance manufacturing setting.
Role Scope and Responsibilities:
- Lead SAP PP configuration and development activities across the full lifecycle of ERP implementation and ongoing operations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, configure, test, and deliver SAP PP solutions tailored to discrete and fabrication-based manufacturing workflows.
- Drive optimization of MRP, BOMs, routing, engineering change management, production orders, and shop floor controls.
- Document functional specifications and work closely with ABAP developers to ensure accurate enhancements and fixes.
- Maintain and support batch jobs, custom programs, and security roles in collaboration with technical teams.
- Actively participate in change management, training, testing, and end-user support across production lines.
- Contribute to technology audits, process improvement initiatives, and strategic systems planning.
- Ensure ongoing stability, security, and performance of SAP PP modules through ITIL-aligned service delivery.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Systems, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- 6 to 8 years of SAP PP experience with at least 3 years in production support roles.
- Demonstrated success in assembly or fabrication manufacturing environments.
- Strong configuration skills in SAP PP submodules including MRP, BOM Management, Capacity Planning, Shop Floor Controls, Engineering Change Management, and Production Orders.
- Knowledge of integration with SAP MM, QM, VC, and PS is a plus.
- Experience with SAP PP and MES integration and VC for BOM/routing is highly desirable.
- Proven track record of full lifecycle SAP implementations.
- Proficiency with SAP Solution Manager, RICEF development, LSMW, CATT, and reporting tools.
- Familiarity with IT Service Management tools such as ServiceNow and working knowledge of the ITIL framework.
- Ability to manage offshore resources and effectively collaborate across departments.
- Skilled in Microsoft Excel, Word, Visio, and Project.
