JOB SUMMARY:
The UltraLime Plant Production Supervisor is responsible for daily production activities on the shop floor and plant site. This person shall manufacture production batches. They will also fill totes, drums, and bulk tankers with product as required. Maintain a clean and clutter free workspace. Perform minor maintenance tasks as requested. Be capable of regularly lifting containers of up to 60 pounds as part of the daily routine. This person will be responsible for the implementation of the production and bulk material schedules. This person will supervise the production and warehouse employees and will work with other departments to provide quality, expedited products to our customers.
Your Team:
This position may supervise one to five people that could include Production Technician, Lead Production Technician, Warehouse Specialist and/or Administrative Coordinator.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Selects the best method for meeting production quotas based on availability of personnel, equipment and capital resources; Approves staff scheduling.
- Oversees performance of production & warehouse staff as it relates to quality, productivity, safety and compliance.
- Proposes and implements production improvements.
- Ensures that plant inventories are maintained at their optimal level; conducts mandatory annual physical inventories.
- Maintains production and quality control standards.
- Coordinates production activities with those of other departments.
- Works directly with laboratory personnel regarding formula changes and QC parameters.
- Ensures compliance of all health and safety standards.
- Coordinates all freight activities (both incoming and outgoing) with purchasing, customer service.
- Supervises maintenance (including preventative) of all plant equipment and trailers.
- Supervises maintenance, cleaning, and overall appearance of warehouse and Plant site; submits weekly warehouse/production inspection reports.
- Coordinate vendors (plumbing, electrical, etc.).
- Manufactures production batches.
- Generates and receives batch records to submit to Avon Lake office.
- Warehouse transfers to submit to Avon Lake office.
- Location transfers to submit to Avon Lake office.
- Audits and verifies in process batch records as needed.
- Performs minor maintenance tasks as instructed.
- Assist with emergency response activities at the facility.
- Assist with movement of wastes (including hazardous, universal, and used oil) to storage areas or onto trucks.
- Complies with all EPA, DOT, and OSHA regulations and company policy.
- Reports all accidents, injuries/illnesses, spills to supervisor.
- Adhere to ISO documents and meet company/department quality, environmental & safety objectives.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or higher.
- 6-14 years of chemical production and DOT experience.
- Knowledge and familiarity with office equipment including copiers, fax, and scan equipment.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a detailed environment with little to no direct supervision.
- Excellent communication, teamwork and interpersonal skills.
- Use of Microsoft Office products, especially Microsoft Word and Excel®.

- Incumbent is subject to a criminal background check.
WORKING CONDITIONS & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Work is primarily performed within ASI’s warehouse. This position will be expected and required to follow safety standards and wear all personal protective equipment in designated areas and while on-site. Physical ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds is required. The incumbent should be able to pull, push, twist, balance, and move with general ease. Hiring is conditional upon background check.
