What are the responsibilities and job description for the Electricity Teacher position at Applied Technology Center?
Minimum Qualifications:
HS diploma or GED and 4-years of documented full-time work experience as a residental or commercial electrician, and ability to obtain a Career and Technical Education Work-based teacher certification
Industry certification required after one year, one of the following: NCCER certification as an industrial electricain OR MASC certificaton as a journeyman or a residental journeyman electrician OR SCLLR electricain license
Highly skilled and knowledgeable in electrical work, safety practices, and electrical codes
Willingness to complete required alternative teaching certification program
Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
Willingness to work with other teachers to promote interdisciplinary studies within the school
Skill in interpersonal relations with students, parents, teachers, staff, and the general public
Outstanding references from current and former supervisors
Satisfactory SLED (SC Law Enforcement Division) report
Salary Range: Teacher Salary Schedule
Length of Contract: 190 days
Starting Date: 2025-2026 School Year
