Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Furnace Assembler to join our team. The Furnace Assembler will be responsible for working with materials such as steel, ceramics, and insulation to assemble and fabricate furnaces. This role requires an aptitude for mechanical and carpentry work and the ability to operate various tools and equipment to ensure high-quality production standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assemble and fit furnace components using hand tools and equipment.
- Troubleshoot and resolve assembly issues by identifying problems and implementing solutions.
- Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and fabrication symbols.
- Operate and maintain a variety of hand and power tools, ensuring safety and efficiency.
- Ensure that all assembly work meets safety, quality, and production standards.
- Handle materials using appropriate material handling equipment (e.g., carts, forklifts, cranes, pallet trucks).
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to safety regulations at all times.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Proficient in hand assembly and fitting techniques.
- Strong knowledge of hand tools, electrical-powered tools, and equipment.
- Ability to read and understand technical drawings and general fabrication symbols.
- Basic understanding of plant safety practices and procedures.
- Familiarity with Material Handling Equipment (e.g., forklifts, cranes, pallet trucks).
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.
Education & Experience:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- An Associate's Degree in a related field is preferred.
- Job-specific training will be provided by the supervisor.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to perform manual dexterity tasks with machinery and tools.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs as needed.
- Ability to stand or sit for prolonged periods during the workday.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.35 - $23.23 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
