Collections Specialist

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Collections Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring timely collection of outstanding debts. This is a Part-Time position with the potential to be developed into a Full-Time role.

Responsibilities

• Pursue payments on past due accounts
• Utilize Microsoft Dynamics GP to document interactions, payments, and account statuses
• Enter and assist in processing customer payments
• Provide excellent customer service while maintaining professionalism in all communications
• Assist in account maintenance for the AR systems
• Handle customer inquiries and resolve customers’ issues
• Assist in data gathering for internal and external audits
• Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and company policies during collections process
• Collaborate with team members to develop strategies for improving collection rates
• Potential ad hoc accounting activities

Requirements

• Proficiency in financial concepts, including debits, credits, and general accounting principles
• Three to five years of collections experience required
• Experience in Microsoft Dynamics GP is a plus
• Skilled in the use of MS Office applications, especially Excel
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently while managing multiple accounts efficiently
• Detail-oriented mindset with strong organizational skills to track payments and account statuses
• Enjoys a fast-paced casual work environment.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $21.00 - $23.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 25 per week
