What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medicare Set Aside Nurse position at Applied Underwriters?
Medicare Set Aside (MSA) Nurse Reviewer will compose a written document that provides a comprehensive, clear, and concise analysis of medical records provided by claims adjusters. The MSA Nurse Reviewer will accurately assess future medical care with associated costs to develop a complete Medicare Set-Aside Allocation, Future Medical Cost Projection, or a Life Care Plan.
Requirements:
- Requires a current and unrestricted RN license in the state of Nebraska or that of a compact state and at least 5 years of clinical experience
- Detail oriented; excellent writing and communication skills; ability to work in fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of workers’ compensation and/or liability injury claims
- Knowledge of ICD-9 coding and CPT Coding
- Proficient in Math, Microsoft Excel and Word
- Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
