Job Description:
Power Systems, a subsidiary of Applied Industrial Technologies, is seeking a Controls Programmer desiring to take their career to the next level. You will collaborate with an experienced team that has strong product, vendor, and system knowledge. We will look to you to function as an electronics systems development expert, building relationships with customers.
More About Your Role:
We are looking for someone that has the ability to design, build and troubleshoot complex electronic systems in the mobile hydraulic marketplace. This job entails many tasks from programming mobile controls, to traveling out in the field to conduct a start-up on a prototype machine
Responsibilities:
- Create a written document of machine operations, which is used for development and troubleshooting
- Develop advanced programs for Mobile PLC’s from a variety of vendors using CoDeSys or vendor specific software
- Create programming blocks to add to custom libraries
- Program Displays (HMI’s) using vender created software and Java script
- Design effective graphics and user interface elements for Displays, Control Boxes, and Radio Remotes
- Hand build and test prototype systems in a dedicated electronics lab
- Establish component interaction using J1939 CAN-bus
- Engage in creative and innovative problem solving on a daily basis while managing a diverse array of projects
- Continually research and apply new technologies to grow team capabilities
Requirements:
- PC proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and other Office applications
- Strong communication skills including verbal, e-mail composition, and telephone skills
- Must be well organized, detail oriented, and capable of handling multiple tasks simultaneously
Preferred:
- Obtained or working towards a degree in Hydraulics, Electronics, Mechatronics, or Robotics
- CoDeSys software knowledge
