SG Morris, an Applied Fluid Power subsidiary, is currently looking for a Mechanic to join our family. We say "family" because Applied has been fortunate to keep associates for 20, 30, 40 years. 25% of our U.S. team has 20 or more years of service with Applied. In this role you’ll be disassembling, inspecting, rebuilding, and testing product and using your knowledge and experience from working on Mechanical, Electro-Mechanical, Hydraulic, and/or Pneumatic assemblies. You’ll use your hands-on experience in your background to help us please our customers and gain new ones.
We’ll look to you to lead the charge in this area as your work helps to support the industry’s best sales team.
Position Responsibilities:
- Assemble of pumps, valves, motors, and cylinders in a shop environment
- Visually verifies product compliance to customer and company specifications.
- Functionally verifies product performance to the defined test criteria.
- Utilizes hand and power tools, electronic and pneumatic testing fixtures, and devices.
- Shift work assignment priorities when needed and as directed.
- Responsible for organization of tools and workstation cleanliness.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Position Requirements
- Strong Mechanical Aptitude
- Ability to work on all brands of pumps, valves, motors, and cylinders
- High school diploma or GED
- Knowledge of various fluid power components preferred
- Valid Drivers License with a Clean Driving Record
