Job Summary: The Human Resources Director is responsible for leading and directing the routine functions of the HR Department including oversight of hiring and interviewing staff, administering pay, benefits and leave, and enforcing company policies and practices.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Builds and maintains a strong Human Resources Department through effective recruitment, training, coaching, team building, and succession planning.
- Collaborates with the Leadership Team to fully understand and execute the human resource and talent strategy in line with the facility’s overall strategic plan.
- Creates, reviews, and revises Human Resources policies and procedures.
- Develops plans to help department managers with recruitment and delegates related tasks to the HR team.
- Supports the facility through recruitment, interviewing, and hiring of different roles as needed.
- Analyzes trends in compensation and benefits. Researches and proposes competitive base and incentive pay programs to ensure the facility attracts and retains quality employees.
- Oversees strategic planning and ensures compliant execution of employment benefits.
- Creates learning and development programs and initiatives that provide internal development opportunities for employees.
- Maintains knowledge of and analyzes trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources fields and employment law. Develops solutions, programs, and policies to improve the facility as a whole.
- Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices. Reviews company handbook, policies, and practices to maintain compliance. Provides HR policy guidance and interpretation.
- Provides support and guidance to staff when complex, specialized, and sensitive questions and employment relations issues arise. Oversees administration and execution of routine tasks in delicate circumstances such as providing reasonable accommodations, investigating allegations of wrongdoing, disciplinary meetings, and terminations.
- Provides day-to-day performance management guidance to employees (coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions, etc).
- Communicates with Leadership and Department Managers regularly to establish rapport, gauge staff morale, improve work relationships, and increase retention.
- Conducts regular engagement surveys and assessments, analyzes results, and creates action plans for improvement.
- Establishes and implements HR efforts that effectively communicate and support the facility’s mission and strategic vision.
- Maintains OSHA log and handles all work-related injuries.
- Coordinates new employee orientations
- Performs other job-related duties as requested.
Education/Qualification Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree or Higher.
Experience:
- Previous experience in Human Resources.
- Previous leadership experience preferred.
Language Skills:
- Ability to read and communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
- Additional languages preferred.
