What are the responsibilities and job description for the Human Resources Generalist position at Appling Healthcare?
Job Summary: Working under the direct supervision of the Human Resources Director, the Human Resources Generalist assists with various HR-related functions including the recruitment, onboarding, and onboarding processes, maintaining employee records, and maintaining compliance.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Participates in day-to-day recruitment efforts for the facility. Collaborates with managers to ensure an efficient process in keeping open jobs up to date.
- Assists with maintenance of Applicant Tracking System. Utilizes new and creative ways to recruit for hard-to-fill positions with internal resources and external recruitment.
- Assists with onboarding new hires including accurate, fully, and timely completed onboarding documents.
- Ensures employee licenses and other time sensitive items are renewed in a timely manner to maintain compliance.
- Maintains employee information in HRIS, payroll system, and other platforms as needed.
- Conducts regular audits of processes and files including I-9s, licenses, and other required documentation to maintain compliance.
- Assists with the offboarding process including the proper documents and access removals in a timely manner.
- Maintains employee files in a secure and organized manner.
- Assists with employee relations concerns as needed.
- Assists with payroll functions as needed.
- Assists with facility event planning, execution, and evaluation for employee engagement.
- Analyzes HR procedures and makes improvement suggestions.
- Performs other job-related duties as requested.
- Use HR software to manage payroll , employee benefits, including bonuses leaves and conduct absences administration.
- Support employees with efficient problem solving when any HR issues arise.
- Reinforce the company policies, rules and procedures to ensure employees’ safety
- Plan onboarding strategies and perform new employees’ orientation to deliver an exceptional early experience.
- Assist with drug and alcohol testing.
Education/Qualification Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree Preferred
Experience:
- Previous experience in Human Resources preferred.
Language Skills:
- Ability to read and communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
- Additional languages preferred.
