Job Title: Sr Java Developer (Python/AWS) Production Support
Location: Washington, DC
Duration: 12 Months Extendable
Job Description
- Need to have strong experience with Java development
- Need to have strong experience working with UI using angular and react JS
- Must have experience working with various AWS tools and services including SQS, SNS, Lambdas, ECS, ECR, and more
- Must have experience working with Python and Pyspark.
- Experience working with relational databases including Redshift and Postgres.
- Experience building backend and API services using both Java and Python.
- Should have a background in production or application support
- Strong data analysis skills is a plus - most applications and projects are very data-related (data warehouse, data lake, etc.) so need to have good data analytical skills
- Will be supporting production activities and enhancements, doing production support activities and doing minor enhancements - looking for a quick learner since this is going to be a lot of support work
- This role will be a split of production support vs. development depending on how many tickets there are - if nothing is going on from a prod perspective, they will be focused on automating tasks, making enhancements to the systems, etc.
