Job Summary
Keeps the school building and school offices in clean and orderly condition, providing a clean, safe, and functional building.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Sweeps, mops, scrubs, waxes, dusts, and vacuums assigned areas on a prescribed schedule.
- Scrubs and disinfects toilet doors, urinals, toilet bowls, and other fixtures daily, including water bottle fillers, drinking fountains, and garbage containers.
- Empties trash and garbage containers daily or more often if necessary.
- Responds to accidents and potential safety hazards such as spills and restroom issues.
- Notifies school officials concerning the need for repairs throughout the building.
- Maintains the appearance of the outside of the building through picking up trash, mowing, etc.
- Maintains safe, clean, and organized custodial storage areas.
Requirements:
- GED or high school diploma
- Or related experience or training
- Or equivalent combination of education and experience
