Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and responsible Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting propane safely and efficiently to various locations. This role requires a commitment to customer service and adherence to safety regulations while operating the delivery vehicle.
Duties
- Safely operate delivery vehicles, including trucks, trailers and tankers.
- Load and unload goods at various locations, ensuring proper handling and securing of cargo.
- Follow designated routes for deliveries while adhering to traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in safe operating condition.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including delivery logs and vehicle maintenance reports.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery status and any issues that may arise.
- Assist in training new drivers on route driving protocols and vehicle operation as needed.
Experience
- Previous experience as a delivery driver or in commercial driving is preferred.
- Familiarity with operating manual transmission vehicles is a plus.
- Experience with load unloading procedures and route driving is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of safety regulations related to transportation and delivery operations.
- A valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with Hazmat certification is required for this position.
