\n- Operate plant functions from the control room under the direction of the control room lead operator
- Manage chip feed, fuel feed, furnace, dryer, and secondary sizing
- Manage and monitor various levels and feed rates as instructed by the control room lead operator
- Monitor spark detection system
- Multi-task with equipment alarms
- Keeps detailed and accurate maintenance reports and documentation
- Ensure all work is performed in a timely and safe manner
- Utilize skills to improve equipment optimization and reliability
- Maintain logs, record labor, material, and equipment used
- Meticulous attention to detail; able to follow both written and verbal instructions
- Perform other related duties and serve as a back-up resource as assigned
- Submit reports in accordance with reporting directives
- High school diploma or equivalent education; trade school or college preferred.
- One year of in-plant manufacturing experience
- Ability to work independently and utilize critical problem-solving and decision-making skills to generate and implement solutions throughout the process
- Must have proficient computer skills
- Knowledge or ability to learn how to operate HMI touchscreens
- Must possess basic math skills
- Must maintain compliance with all LOTO, confined space, hot work, and working at heights policies
- OSHA 10 training and experience
- Ability to work extended hours to include nights, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to continuously walk or stand, bend, squat, climb stairs, and lift items above shoulders
- Ability to work outdoors, rotating shifts, and lift 50 pounds required
