Founded in the winter of 1983, Highland Machine Works, Inc. is a privately held precision machine shop located in Camden, Arkansas. We started with just two Bridgeport manual mills, a single lathe, and a rented 1,200 sq. ft. space. Today, we operate in over 13,000 sq. ft. of manufacturing space, supported by an additional 5,000 sq. ft. of storage and 1,500 sq. ft. of office space.

**2 waterjet machining centers

About the Position
We’re looking for Machinists and aspiring machinist apprentices to join our growing team. Qualifications:
Basic understanding of or willingness to learn the use of geometric principles and calculations.
Familiarity with measuring tools and equipment is essential.
Prior machining experience with Mills, Lathes, and CNC is a plus, but not mandatory.
Enthusiasm for learning and developing new skills in a high-precision environment.

\n- Operate manual and CNC Lathes, Mills, and other machine tools to produce precision parts.
- Interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
- Use a variety of measuring tools, including calipers, micrometers, gage blocks, height gauges, and more.
- Perform basic to intermediate geometric and math calculations. (Familiarity with the Pythagorean Theorem is a plus!)
- Ensure quality and accuracy of finished parts through consistent measurement and verification.
- Must have state residency in Arkansas
- Completed high school diploma or GED equivalent
- Must have the ability to work in the United States without a current or future need for visa sponsorship.
- Must have personal drive and eagerness to learn.
- Ability to pass a drug and background check. (Based on Company requirements)
- Be available to work (7-5:30 M-Th, 7-3:30 F) and additional OT
