Job Duties

  • Lead the development, testing, and integration of spacecraft systems, ensuring alignment with mission objectives and requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to shape requirements, optimize system designs, and streamline production processes.
  • Drive the creation of robust risk mitigation strategies and oversee their implementation.
  • Support the preparation, execution, and analysis of system-level tests for spacecraft and related hardware.
  • Oversee technical documentation, including requirements, verification plans, and operational guidelines.
  • Provide technical leadership to ensure seamless collaboration between design, testing, and program teams.
  • Develop scalable engineering processes to enhance production efficiency and reliability.
  • Resolve technical challenges with innovative, resourceful solutions that balance mission needs and constraints.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in aerospace engineering, mechanical engineering, or a closely related field.
  • 8 years of experience in spacecraft systems design, testing, and integration.
  • Expertise in full life-cycle spacecraft development, including requirements definition, prototyping, and operational deployment.
  • Strong background in mechanical, electrical, or fluid systems with hands-on experience in spacecraft hardware.
  • Demonstrated leadership and project management skills in technical environments.
  • Proficiency with analysis and modeling tools such as MATLAB, Python, or equivalent software.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills and a collaborative mindset.
  • Preferred Experience

  • Masters degree in aerospace engineering or a related technical discipline.
  • Hands-on experience with spacecraft missions, including launch operations and in-orbit support.
  • Familiarity with CAD tools for design and hardware prototyping.
  • Knowledge of environmental testing protocols, such as thermal and vibration testing.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, startup environment with agile development methodologies.
  • Understanding of advanced propulsion, avionics, and power systems for space applications.

  • Must be able to obtain or have active US Secret or TS / SCI security clearance.
