Job Duties
- Own the development and maintenance of systems documentation, including high-level requirements, interface control documents, system block diagrams, and bills of materials (BOM).
- Translate mission-critical objectives into actionable specifications, balancing customer needs with complex constraints like radiation tolerance, thermal efficiency, and structural integrity.
- Define and manage interfaces between avionics and spacecraft systems, from power architectures to mechanical mounting strategies.
- Lead system-level test planning, preparation, and execution, ensuring compliance with demanding operational requirements.
- Identify technical risks and develop robust mitigation strategies, focusing on reliability and mission success.
- Collaborate closely with mechanical, electrical, and software engineers to ensure cohesive and efficient system integration.
- Act as a systems expert, bridging communication across technical teams and business stakeholders to align project outcomes with broader strategic goals.
- Support certification processes to meet industry standards for aerospace and defense applications.
