What are the responsibilities and job description for the Data Entry Clerk position at Approved Forwarders?
Approved Transportation and Warehousing, Ltd. has an immediate opening for a qualified Data Entry Clerk to support our Accounting Team. The ideal candidate is detail oriented with 1 year of data entry in a high-volume environment. To apply for this position, please reply to this ad.
Pay: $19.00 an hour
Schedule: 8:00 am - 5:00 pm Monday - Friday
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Entering data into the central database
- Cataloging the data with appropriate tags for ease of reference
- Retrieving data as requested
- Maintaining and updating the database system as necessary
- Review data for deficiencies or errors
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure data integrity.
- Research and obtain further information for incomplete documents
- Uploading documents into a database
- Sort and organize hard copies of paperwork after uploading date electronically
- Receives, screens, and routes visitors and drivers via Axis Companion
- Assist with other administrative tasks as needed.
REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES:
- Basic accounting knowledge and excellent data entry skills required
- Type in data quickly and efficiently
- Strong attention to detail
- Flexibility with work schedule
- Excellent attendance
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Microsoft Office proficiency
- 1 years’ experience in data entry
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be able to lift up to 15lbs at times
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and typing on a computer
