What are the responsibilities and job description for the Mobile Paramedical Examiner/Phlebotomist - Kauai position at APPS Paramedical?

We are searching for Mobile Examiners on the island of Kauai.
This position requires that you work as an INDEPENDENT CONTRACTOR collecting medical data and specimens from clients who apply for Life, and/or Disability insurance. We at APPS provide this service for over 600 pre-approved insurance companies nationwide.
The following qualifications must be met before interview:
- Applicant must have medical experience and background
- Must be active in phlebotomy in a certified laboratory or facility for a minimum of one (1) year
- Must have up-to-date and reliable transportation
Your function as an examiner would be to obtain medical data, blood and/or urine specimens, keep the office staff informed DAILY as to the status of each case, and turn in work in accordance to procedures established by the underwriters and medical directors of the insurance companies.
The examination process normally requires:
- Basic Exam - Medical history, blood pressure, pulse, height, weight, girth (male clients only), a urine specimen, and a resting EKG in some cases
- Blood draw using a kit provided by the laboratory
- Rechecks - Returning for a second evaluation of blood pressure or urine. This will be done on rare occasions required by the insurance companies
- Communication - Status of each case/examination must be communicated to Honolulu Central Office in a timely manner via phone or company portal
