Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to join our dynamic warehouse team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely operating forklifts and other heavy equipment to facilitate the efficient movement of materials within the warehouse. This role requires attention to detail, adherence to safety protocols, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts and other heavy equipment to load, unload, and transport materials throughout the warehouse.
- Utilize RF scanners to track inventory and ensure accurate shipping and receiving processes.
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance on forklifts and equipment to ensure safe operation.
- Collaborate with warehouse supervisors and team members to optimize workflow and meet production goals.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to OSHA safety regulations at all times.
- Assist in inventory management by accurately recording material movements within the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Participate in training sessions for new employees on safe forklift operation and materials handling techniques.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Forklift Operator or in a similar role within a warehouse environment.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot minor equipment issues.
- Familiarity with shipping and receiving processes, including load/unload operations.
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations related to warehouse operations.
- Experience using RF scanners for inventory management is preferred.
- Ability to operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team setting.

Pay: $17.70 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
