Job Summary :
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Analyst with expertise in SQL, US Healthcare data models, HEDIS quality measures, and data quality assessment. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in analyzing healthcare data (Claims, Clinical, Labs, Immunizations) and leveraging PySpark, Azure Data Factory (ADF) and modern data technologies (Databricks exposure). This role requires strong analytical skills, the ability to engage with customers, and the capability to prepare and present insightful reports to stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities :
1. Data Analysis & Reporting :
Analyze healthcare datasets (Claims, Clinical, Labs, Immunization, Encounters) to extract meaningful insights.
Evaluate HEDIS quality measures and track performance trends.
Develop complex SQL queries to extract, manipulate, and analyze data from large-scale data warehouses.
Create reports, dashboards, and visualizations to support business and clinical decision-making.
2. Data Quality & Governance :
Identify data quality issues related to claims, clinical, labs, and immunization data.
Work with business and technical teams to define data quality rules and ensure adherence to standards.
Perform root cause analysis (RCA) of data discrepancies and recommend corrective actions.
Collaborate with data engineering teams to optimize ETL pipelines for accuracy and efficiency.
3. Customer Interaction & Requirement Gathering :
Work closely with healthcare customers, business stakeholders, and leadership to gather and understand requirements.
Translate business needs into data-driven solutions and actionable insights.
Present findings, reports, and dashboards to non-technical and executive stakeholders.
4. Technology & Automation :
Utilize PySpark for large-scale healthcare data processing and transformation.
Work with Azure Data Factory (ADF) to orchestrate and automate data pipelines.
Identify opportunities for automation and optimization in data workflows.
Stay updated on latest trends in technology and healthcare analytics to drive innovation.
Required Qualifications & Skills :
Strong Analytical & SQL Skills :
Proficiency in writing complex SQL queries to handle large healthcare datasets.
Experience in data modeling, validation, and standardization.
Healthcare Data Expertise :
Knowledge of US healthcare data models (Claims, Clinical, HEDIS, Lab, Immunizations).
Experience in analyzing HEDIS quality measures and tracking compliance trends.
Understanding of HIPAA regulations, PHI handling, and payer-provider data interactions.
Data Quality & Governance :
Hands-on experience in identifying, assessing, and resolving data quality issues.
Familiarity with data validation, standardization, and profiling techniques.
Technical Skills :
Databases : SQL Server, Snowflake, Databricks
ETL & Data Pipelines : SSIS, ADF (Azure Data Factory)
Big Data & Analytics : PySpark, Databricks
Reporting & Visualization : Power BI, Tableau (preferred)
