Job Title :- OpenShift Engineer (SME (L3)
Job Location: Frisco, TX
Contract Position
OpenShift Engineer (SME (L3): BareMetal infrastructure with RHACM (Red Hat ACM)
Must Have:
- RedHat OpenShift build experience on BareMetal infrastructure.
- Good understanding of RedHat ACM for provisioning and managing clusters, OpenShift Virtualization, ODF, Quay, Terraform, Ansible, GitOps principles.
Nice to have:
- OpenShift Data Foundation for Storage, RedHat Advanced Cluster Security.
- Understanding of BareMetal infrastructure (Dell PowerEdge Server).
- Experience building Container as a Service – Self Service model.
- Responsible to Design and implement enterprise PaaS solutions, based on RedHat OpenShift on BareMetal infrastructure and variety of IaaS platforms like AWS, Azure, VMware, OpenStack etc.
- Good understanding of RedHat ACM for provisioning and managing clusters, OpenShift Virtualization, Quay and GitOps principles.
- Good exposure to DevOps principles, CI/CD, Continuous Deployment Pipelines with a proper well tested failover & recover plans on any infrastructure.
- Deep understanding of cloud storage and integrations with k8s platforms. OpenShift Data Foundation for Storage, Portworx, Ceph, RedHat Advanced Cluster Security.
- Broad understanding of competitive landscape, IT strategic topics and solutions like automation, hybrid cloud, IT modernization, DevOps, and advanced application development concepts.
- Experience building Container as a Service – Self Service model.
- Understanding of BareMetal infrastructure (Dell PowerEdge Server).
- Broad understanding and ability to effectively communicate the value technology brings to a business, industry, or vertical.
- Ability to design high available, multi cloud and split cluster based OpenShift environment.
- Skilled to assess the client’s technology architecture, identify gaps and prescribe the right set of tools and technologies cutting various layers of architecture for the target state designs/ architectures.
- Ability to define roadmap for non-functional requirements for the production and guide the implementation.
- Provide technical leadership in daily system support and operation for critical and complex production systems.
- Create and update maintain and deliver technical documentations.
- An active listener with excellent communications and interpersonal skills, with an ability to utilizes different styles of questioning techniques and manage conflict and objection handling.
