Job Description
Responsibilities
- Oversee all culinary functions, including but not limited to food purchasing, receiving, preparation and maintenance of quality standards, safety, sanitation, and cleanliness
- Train hourly culinary team members on recipes, food safety, equipment, and all standard operating procedures
- Ensure all menu items served meets or exceeds our standard of excellence
- Maintain full knowledge of all recipes, including seasonal offerings
- Complete all role responsibilities effectively with limited supervision while demonstrating strong leadership and motivating others
- Handle any team member disputes or situations with genuine empathy and elevate to the Sr Kitchen Manager as necessary
- Complete all opening, mid, and closing procedures; complete daily checklist and side work assignments
- Facilitate receiving and maintenance of incoming deliveries
- Conduct weekly inventory
- Keep all areas of the kitchen and restaurant clean and organized by following cleaning checklists
- Assist with setting up patio furniture and maintenance of outside fixtures and seating area, if applicable for the location
- Any other task that you may be called upon to complete by your direct supervisor

Qualifications
- Minimum 1-2 years of culinary experience in a full-service, upscale casual restaurant preferred
- A strong desire to grow and develop skills including but not limited to guest service, leadership, and financial reporting
- Flexibility in schedule is highly preferred
- Ability to be cross‐trained in all areas of the dining room and retail space preferred
- Ability to speak, read, and understand the primary language(s) of the work location
- Physical ability to stand for long periods; including walking, bending, kneeling, and reaching for items that are typically 50 pounds or less
