Responsibilities
- The Cross Domain Solutions (CDS) Software Engineer will develop, maintain, and enhance complex and secure software systems based upon documented requirements.
- Will be responsible for working individually or as part of a team to review and test software components for adherence to the design requirements and documents test results.
- Resolves software problem reports, utilizes software development and software design methodologies appropriate to the development and software design methodologies appropriate to the development environment.
- Shall have experience with creating specific input to the software components of system design to include hardware/software tradeoffs, software reuse, use of Commercial Off-the-Shelf (COTS)/ Government Off-the Shelf (GOTS) in place of new development, and requirements analysis and synthesis from system level to individual software components.
- US Citizenship required
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related discipline with 5 years of experience with consideration given for advanced degrees.
- Active DoD Secret Clearance required
- Cross Domain Solution (CDS) experience required
- This is a Cyber Software Engineering position
- Demonstrated experience developing software using Java, C, C , C#, or Python
- Demonstrated experience with debugging existing software and correcting defects
- Demonstrated experience with the SDLC and agile methodologies
- Experience developing Multi-Level Security (MLS) Cross Domain Solutions (CDS) applications
- Experience with implementing NSA Raise the Bar (RTB) standards and requirements
- Experience using Bash or similar scripting languages to automate tasks
- Experience configuring and using SonarQube, Fortify, or other code analyzers
- Experience with automated testing frameworks such as Eggplant and Microsoft Testing Framework
- Experience with Continuous Integration Technologies such as Jenkins and Bamboo
- Experience using Visual Studio Code (VS Code)
- Experience with Software Configuration Management tools such as Git
- Demonstrated experience developing Linux software applications
- Experience developing SELinux policies
- Demonstrated experience working with XML Schemas and XML processing tools.
- Knowledge of networking protocols and secure communication techniques.
- Current DoD 8570 Certification IAT Level II or higher (Security , CISSP, etc.) or ability to obtain one within 6 months
