- Ability to identify and extract required information from various record types.
- Detail oriented with the ability to identify/document the pertinent details of the review.
- Self-motivation to take responsibility to understanding/mastering the task at hand.
Job Functions:
- Assist with development and execution plan to most effectively and efficiently process medical record reviews for each program
- Assist with updating lists of discrepancies identified in audit results
- Perform quality assurance of cases completed by Medical Review Analyst with delivery of results to each team member as directed by the Medical Review Supervisor
- Conduct research for new litigations to assist with development of training materials
- Serve as an escalation resource for team members and assist with answering nurse line questions
- Draft weekly reporting to submit to Medical Review Supervisor to reflect production metrics
- Perform medical record reviews for assigned projects
- RN, LPN, Paralegal
- Nursing or Paralegal Licensure or higher
- 2-5 years' experience of extensive review of medical records.
- May also possess experience with mass tort, personal injury, disability, worker's compensation and hedis reviews.
- Successful with strong performance in the Medical Review Analyst role for 2 years consistently meeting or exceeding performance standards for projects assigned.
- Subject Matter Expert demonstrating ability to exceed expectations relative to peers performing the same tasks.
- External candidates must possess experience with either of following: medical record review, mass tort, personal injury, disability, worker's compensation, HEDIS reviews or 2 years of equivalent experience. Completion of the following Linked in Learning trainings: Being a good Mentee, Giving and Receiving Feedback, how to be promotable, Developing a Service Mindset
- Excellent communication skills(verbal /written), adaptable to constantly changing environment. Effective problem-solving and analytical skills. Ability to work collaboratively and independently to meet critical deadlines.
