Position Overview
The Program Supervisor – RAY Program oversees the day-to-day operations of the Reentry Action for Youth (RAY) initiative. This leadership role is responsible for supervising mentors, guiding trauma-informed care coordination, and ensuring that justice-involved youth receive consistent, high-quality support. The Program Supervisor balances program implementation, staff development, and system collaboration to drive positive youth outcomes and compliance with LA County Department of Youth Development (DYD) standards.

The Program Supervisor – RAY Program oversees the day-to-day operations of the Reentry Action for Youth (RAY) initiative. This leadership role is responsible for supervising mentors, guiding trauma-informed care coordination, and ensuring that justice-involved youth receive consistent, high-quality support. The Program Supervisor balances program implementation, staff development, and system collaboration to drive positive youth outcomes and compliance with LA County Department of Youth Development (DYD) standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead daily operations of the RAY Program in alignment with LA County DYD standards
- Facilitate weekly team meetings and case reviews to support individualized care planning
- Supervise and coach mentors, providing clinical support (if licensed) or coordinating with clinical staff
- Ensure every youth has a trauma-informed, youth-centered care plan and receives consistent case management
- Maintain caseload capacity (maximum 10 youth per mentor) and oversee referral intake and flow
- Review mentor documentation for accuracy, completeness, and compliance
- Build and maintain partnerships with schools, community-based organizations, courts, and families
- Support youth access to employment, education, housing, mental health, and wellness services
Required
- Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Criminal Justice, or related field
- 3 years of experience in youth services, reentry, or related programs
- Supervisory experience and a strong understanding of trauma-informed care
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Familiarity with LA County youth justice systems and community resources
- Master's degree (MSW, MFT, or related field)
- LCSW or other clinical licensure
- Experience with youth mentoring or reentry navigation
- Bilingual (English/Spanish)
