Description
DSPW is a facility that specializes in steel coil blanking. We are a tier one (1) supplier of blanked material for the automotive stamping industry. The work environment is of heavy industrial blanking processes. Our company is currently seeking skilled and experienced Production Associates to perform various tasks in our plant.
Safely and efficiently operate counterbalanced fork lift, to move, load and unload materials throughout the manufacturing facility. Operate as point of contact and final checkpoint for all inbound and outbound shipments, ensuring all labels and documents are completed accurately and efficiently.
1. Accurately and efficiently complete all paperwork for incoming and outgoing shipments through MIS
2. Create bill of ladings and bar code labels as per customer specifications in MIS
3. Conduct daily inspection of the forklift ensuring any safety concerns are reported promptly before operating the vehicle.
4. Safely and effectively unload and load all incoming and outgoing shipments.
5. Independently and proactively empty scrap bins throughout the facility.
6. Follow all material handling policies and procedures ensuring material is stored efficiently to support production activities.
7. Accurately fill out and submit shift reports on a daily basis.
8. Safely operate an overhead crane to move material and machine parts.
9. Fulfill all requirements as outlined in the Occupational Health and Safety Act.
10. Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Requirements:
High School Diploma/GED.
Minimum of five (5) years experience.
Strong written and oral communication skills.
Ability to work in a team environment.
Ability to prioritize work.
Proficient in Microsoft Office .
Experience working with AS400 systems or other relevant MRP system.
Folk Lift and Overhead Crane experience a plus
Certified or previous training in Transportation of Dangerous Goods would be a plus.
