Overview:

We are seeking a National Account Manager for our Home Depot sales channel.


You’re a proactive, resourceful professional who takes ownership and finds solutions. You’ve worked in roles where you had to navigate challenges independently, whether that meant educating others on how to work with Home Depot, digging into sales data yourself, or managing forecasting without a dedicated support team. You’re comfortable wearing multiple hats and enjoy both big-picture strategy and hands-on execution—no task is too small when it contributes to success.


Candidate Location:
Can work remotely from your home office with periodic visits to Madison, WI and Home Depot headquarters. Ideal candidate lives within 150 mile radius from Madison, WI or Atlanta, Georgia.

Responsibilities:
  • Own and manage the relationship with The Home Depot's retail team. Serve as the primary point of contact, fostering strong relationships with key decision-makers at The Home Depot.
  • Develop and execute sales strategies to drive revenue growth and profitability with The Home Depot, ensuring alignment with company objectives.
  • Lead and execute national and regional sales programs focused on increasing product selection, placement, and implementation of AprilAire products in Home Depot’s channels.
  • Collaborate with Channel marketing team to develop and implement merchandising, promotional, and marketing strategies tailored to The Home Depot.
  • Manage inventory planning and demand forecasting to ensure optimal stock levels and product availability.
  • Analyze sales data, market trends, and competitive landscape to identify opportunities for growth.
  • Manage contract renewals and negotiations, ensuring favorable terms and conditions for both short- and long-term success.
  • Submit and track product promotions through Home Depot’s internal systems, following up when approvals take longer than expected.
Qualifications:
  • Deep understanding of national eCommerce accounts (specifically Home Depot) to achieve ambitious sales goals.
  • Ability to develop and manage a strategic sales and marketing plan with activities designed for mutual growth.
  • Exceptional planning, execution, and communication skills.
  • Self-motivated, takes initiative, and is capable of working autonomously.
  • Effective at presenting to large or small groups. Participates in meetings.
  • Analytical and skilled at evaluating sales performance, analyzing market and competition, identifying trends, and driving change when needed.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or related field.
  • 5 years account management, preferably with The Home Depot or other large DIY retailers.
  • Ability to travel overnight 20% of time.
