As our Procurement Manager, you will be responsible for managing and supporting electronic contract manufacturing and sourced finished product categories. This role involves leading category strategy development, supplier and stakeholder relationship management, supplier selection, contract negotiation, and cash flow optimization while ensuring the lowest total cost of ownership.
You will collaborate closely with product management, supplier quality, manufacturing, and engineering teams to develop category strategies that align with both long-term product roadmaps and day-to-day business needs. Additionally, you will cultivate strong relationships with suppliers, fostering an environment of mutual trust and cooperation to drive continuous improvement, innovation, and customer satisfaction.
Note: Position is hybrid in Madison, WI and allows a flexible work schedule. Person in this role will need to be able to host suppliers on site periodically.

Responsibilities
Your day will include:
- Manage the development and execution of material category procurement strategies to support business objectives in line with the Global Procurement Strategic Framework and business stakeholders. This includes market analysis, category risk assessment, supplier management, and negotiating supply agreements.
- Serve as the category leader with direct ownership of electronic contract manufacturing partners and supply chain.
- Support development and execution of comprehensive sourcing strategies for globally sourced finished goods.
- Ensure category strategies are aligned with corporate objectives.
- Lead supply agreement negotiations, collaborating with legal to review and recommend acceptable terms and conditions that protect RPC and support product roadmap initiatives.
- Collaborate with new product development teams throughout all aspect of the NPI phase gate process.
- Provide leadership in the planning and execution of sourced finished goods, including all aspects of strategic sourcing.
- Partner closely with Supplier Quality department to assist in quality event escalation and corrective action closure.
- Drive improvements in supplier performance on Key Performance Indicators (Service, Quality, Cost, Cash Management).
- Achieve cost improvement and productivity programs within your categories, targeting a minimum of 4% of COGS year over year.
- Support compliance with all government regulations and customer requirements.

- Demonstrate strong interpersonal communication skills, analytical and financial acumen to foster positive working relationships with internal and external business partners.
- Possess knowledge of various supply chains, including PCBAs, electronic components, manufacturing direct materials, and consumer goods.
- Proven ability to lead strategic sourcing events and support NPI phase gate projects.
- Proficiency in analyzing supplier proposals, cost breakdown modeling, and market trends.
- Familiarity with supply agreement terms, negotiation tactics, and the legal aspects of procurement.
- Ability to solve complex supply chain problems and drive change to support shifting demands.
- Global perspective on supply chain activity, gained through international travel and experience with both high and low volume products.
- Knowledge of quality systems and lean/continuous improvement processes.
- Strong analytical skills to assess key information, evaluate alternate approaches, and present logical recommendations.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to lead supplier collaboration and stakeholder engagement.
- Proven ability to build and lead a high performing team.
- Willingness to travel approximately 30% (domestic and international)
