What are the responsibilities and job description for the Accounting Manager position at Aprio Talent Solutions?
We’re working with a small, family-owned business in the healthy food space to find a hands-on Accounting & Finance Manager who loves getting into the details and helping a growing company stay on top of their financials.
This is a relaxed, casual office where people care about their work and what they put in their bodies (yes, product is part of the deal!).
Location: Mokena, IL
On-site: 5 days per week
Salary: $90-100k bonus (Target 10%)
In this role, you’ll:
- Own the accounting function in QuickBooks Online (QBO)
- Manage and support a bookkeeper handling data entry
- Perform bank and account reconciliations
- Monitor and manage inventory flow (in/out)
- Prepare monthly financial reports
- Assist with the annual close process
- Collaborate with the AP/AR teams (you won’t be managing them)
- Work closely with leadership in a highly visible role
We’re looking for someone who:
- Is proficient in QBO and Excel
- Has a strong attention to detail and thrives in a self-managed environment
- Brings experience in accounting operations, especially around reconciliation and inventory
- Enjoys working in a casual, collaborative setting
