In this role, you will :
- Support and optimize SCADA models, AGC, and EMS sustainability projects.
- Drive clean energy initiatives , including Ambient Adjusted Ratings (AAR) and renewable integration .
- Ensure system reliability and performance by troubleshooting software and infrastructure issues.
- Contribute to APS's 100% clean energy goal by 2050 and support new customer growth .

Major Accountabilities
1) Develops / configures new applications to meet functional and technical designs
2) Fixes and develops changes to applications to meet functional and technical designs following best practices and development standards and guidelines
3) Engages with business analysts and stakeholders to understand functional requirements and contributes to completion of functional specifications
4) Prepares technical documentation on application specifications
5) Creates deliverables according to the SDLC, such as functional and technical specifications, use cases, test cases, and system documentation
6) Analyzes and resolves development issues in a timely manner
7) Conducts analysis of codes and develops / deploys defect fixes in engineering processes
8) Proactively assists internal clients with technical issues related to solution implementation

Home Based : Home based employees primarily work from their home offices and come into an APS facility on an as-needed basis.
CIP Requirement :
This position requires Critical Infrastructure Protection (CIP) access consistent with North American Electric Reliability Corporation (NERC) standards. The applicant considered for this role will be required to obtain and maintain CIP access for the duration of employment in this position. A full seven (7) year criminal history will be obtained through the pre-employment background check process (or, for current employees, through supplemental background check process) to fulfill the CIP access requirements. In addition, this position requires an additional background check every seven years to maintain access.
