Summary/Objective
Oversee day to day terminal operations. Liaison between the work force, Yard Manager, customer service, and truck drivers. Keeps a journal of all cargo handling operations and confirms with customer service all charges are correctly captured for billing.
Essential Functions
- Liaison between ILA and AMPORTS.
- Ensure customer services satisfaction.
- Liaison between truck drivers and ILA.
- Supervise cargo handling and securing (crane, reach stacker, forklift).
- Log of cargo assistance.
- POR (point of rest) & locations of cargo.

Supervisory Responsibility

Physical Demands
Moderate physical activity performing strenuous daily activities of a primarily administrative or production/technical nature. Manual dexterity sufficient to reach and handle items
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are primarily 8 hours each day, Monday through Friday on a day shift. This position often requires overtime.
Travel
Minimal overnight travel (up to 10%) by land and/or air.
Required Education and Experience
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred Education and Experience
Associate degree (AA) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Computer Operations
Intermediate personal computer skills, including electronic mail, routine database activity, word processing, spreadsheet, graphics, etc.
Work Authorization/Security Clearance
Must be able to obtain TWIC badge (Transportation Working Identification Card)
