Essential Functions
- Manages a team of body shop technicians, providing guidance, support, and performance feedback to ensure a cohesive and productive workforce.
- Organize and prioritize daily repair tasks to maximize productivity and efficiency while maintaining high-quality work standards.
- Ensures that all repairs meet industry standards and comply with manufacturer specifications, focusing on precision and attention to detail.
- Build and maintain positive customer relationships by addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and updating repair progress.
- Oversee the procurement and organization of necessary parts and materials, managing inventory levels and controlling costs.
- Enforces adherence to safety protocols and regulations to create a safe working environment for employees and customers.
- Monitors expenses, review financial reports, and implements cost-effective measures to optimize the body shop's profitability.
- Identifies training needs and provides ongoing training opportunities for technicians to enhance their skills and stay up to date with industry advancements.
- Ensures that all body shop equipment is adequately maintained, serviced, and in optimal working condition.
- Identifies areas for process improvement and implements strategies to increase overall efficiency and customer satisfaction.

Supervisory Responsibility
This position has direct reports.
Work Environment
Outdoors exposed to changing and / or extreme weather conditions (for instance, rain, sun, snow, wind, humidity, etc.).
Physical Demands
Moderate physical activity performing strenuous daily activities of a primarily administrative or production / technical nature. Manual dexterity sufficient to reach and handle items.
Position Type / Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are primarily 8 hours each day, Monday through Friday on a day shift. This position may require overtime.
Travel
This position does not have any travel requirements.
Required Education and Experience
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and / or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred Education and Experience
One-year certificate from college or technical school, or three to six months of related experience and / or training, or equivalent education and experience.
Computer Operations
Basic personal computer skills including electronic mail, word processing, spreadsheet, graphics, etc.
Work Authorization / Security Clearance
Must be able to obtain TWIC badge (Transportation Working Identification Card)
