The Plant Manager - Distribution provides leadership, motivation, and guidance to operations, including customer service, assembly, purchasing, engineering, technical support, and warehouse operations to enhance and maintain high service levels for our customers, improve overall costs, and quality of company products and services. The candidate will also have the ability to follow safety and compliance guidelines diligently in order to create a healthy work environment for all employees. This position will be on-site at our Mequon, WI facility.
Responsibilities
- Oversee plant operations such as budget, production schedule, and stock.
- Lead, plan, and manage all aftermarket activities and related functions at the facility, including Customer Service operations, Assembly, Purchasing, Engineering, Technical Support, and Warehouse operations to ensure safety and quality and to meet and exceed customer and Company requirements.
- Understand and execute all facility policies and procedures.
- Lead development and management of annual plan, budget, key measures, operating efficiency, and cost control.
- Act as key contact for customers and local industry groups.
- Manage and direct staff in assigned group with a focus on equipment, processes, human resource allocation, cost management, setting priorities, removing roadblocks, and leading through problem identification and resolution, and implementation of short- and long-term corrective actions to aftermarket facility operational problems.
- Conduct monthly meetings with employees to communicate the state of the business.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, operations, supply chain, or a relevant field
- 5 to 7 years of experience as a manager
- Experience with ERP/MRP systems.
- Experience in plant management and manufacturing operations.
- Strong communication, management, and supervisory skills
