JOB SUMMARY:
Operate lathe, mill, and/or saw machines to fabricate metal parts in accordance with Company procedures and the APSCO Quality Manual.
NOTE: This position is classified as a safety sensitive position under Oklahoma House Bill 2612, also known as the Unity Bill

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Operate various machines (saw, lathe or mill) with limited or no supervision.
- Pull and read blueprints and drawings to determine specifications, method, and sequence of operation to be followed in fabrication of required parts.
- Produce product parts per customer orders and inventory needs, or as assigned by Supervisor.
- Verify conformance of finished work piece to specifications using precision measuring instruments.
- Complete appropriate Shop Traveler for each batch of parts and work pieces assigned and take to Quality Inspector.
- Keep area organized and clean.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION: Technical School
EXPERIENCE: Minimum 2 years experience working on mills and/or lathes
OTHER QUALIFICATIONS:
Must be able to:
- Operate proficiently various mills, lathes, and saws
- Read blueprints, calipers, and micrometers
- Deburr own parts
- Solve complex shop math
- Programming skills a plus but NOT a requirement
- Maintain attention to detail and appreciation for quality
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS PERCENTAGE: None 0%
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Work extended hours whenever required or requested by management
- Requires bending, stooping, and maneuvering around obstacles
- Follow written and oral instructions
- Stand 90% of working hours and walk 10% of working hours
- Routinely lift 30 pounds and move up to 50 pounds
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and visual acuity
- Comply with the Companys drug-free workplace policy
- Must be able to tolerate exposure to dust, fumes, noise, temperature, and other elements in the shop area
- Perform job functions with limited supervision
