Support of USACE Construction Division at the Anniston Resident Office.
Daily Responsibilities:
- On site construction administration and support for the Project Team
- Assist with Client communication, weekly meetings, project costs, project schedules, QA, monthly reports, etc.
- Responsible for processing GC submittals, RFIs, and other administrative items, and field problem solving coordination with the GC and design team
- Interact with the Client, Design Teams, and Constractors to pro-actively work through issues for successful projects.
Required Qualifications (Experience, Education, Certifications, Clearances, etc.):
- Five (5) years of experience on DoD projects and demonstrate knowledge of engineering concepts, principles and practices applicable to the full range of engineering duties concerned with the design, installation, and inspection of equipment and systems for large military construction activity.
- Familiarity with related engineering fields, such as electrical, mechanical, and civil should be shown.
- The individual will be responsible for enforcement of contract requirement for all assigned contracts, coordination with customers, contractors, designers, and Quality Assurance in order to determine appropriate changes necessary to the contracts and make recommendations to the Contracting Officer and Administrative Contracting Officer for resolution of modifications to contracts.
- The individual will assure that construction is accomplished in accordance with the plans and specifications, bringing any deficiency to the attentions of the contractor and extracting compliance.
- Personnel will receive and check for contract compliance of technical submittals from the contractor, such as shop drawings, catalog cuts, samples, etc., utilizing Resident Management System (RMS) as well as investigate the need for contract change orders including consultations with the designer for design changes.
