Job Summary
Advanced Polymer Technology (APT) is a global provider of acrylic and polyurethane-based products. Our ISO-certified manufacturing facilities create protective coatings for concrete and asphalt; recreational coatings for sport courts, tracks and playgrounds. APT has an immediate opening for an EHS Manager in our corporate headquarters located in Evans City, PA. This role is responsible for ensuring workplace safety through training, compliance with ISO 14001 standards, and maintaining safety protocols. Additional duties include managing safety supplies, conducting inspections, and overseeing administrative tasks related to environmental, health, and safety reporting.
Summary of Essential Job Skills
· Update and review ISO 14001 policies and procedures, ensuring compliance and relevance.
· Deliver safety training (Initial Orientation, PPE, LOTO, Forklift, Fall Protection, and job-specific training), while maintaining training records and spreadsheets for all employees.
· Perform administrative tasks for Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS), including ESG reporting and filing for hazardous and non-hazardous waste, stormwater pollution, and compliance audits.
· Lead efforts to prevent, eliminate, or reduce safety, health, and medical incidents, including daily area inspections and the accumulation of scores for ISO compliance.
· Update and maintain Emergency Action Plans (EAP), while ensuring adherence to environmental, health, and safety policies in daily warehouse activities.
Maintain and organize the safety supply closet, ensuring adequate stock, timely ordering of supplies, and proper management of storage and distribution.
Minimum Qualifications
· B.S. degree in safety management, environmental health, or related field
· Minimum of 2 year’s experience in related field
· Knowledge of safety regulations (OSHA, hazard communications, safety training methods, etc.)
· Strong data entry skills with exceptional thoroughness and attention to detail
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office – Word, Excel & Outlook
· Individual must be organized with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
· React quickly to changing priorities
· Must be able to work as an individual and in a team setting
· Strong communication skills, both verbal and written are required in this position
