Logistics Assistant

Advanced Polymer Technology (APT) is a global provider of acrylic and polyurethane-based products. Our ISO-certified manufacturing facilities create protective coatings for concrete and asphalt; recreational coatings for sport courts, tracks and playgrounds.
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Logistics Assistant with at least 1 year of experience in the LTL/FTL industry. This role will involve overseeing shipping and receiving tasks, interacting with truck drivers, and performing various clerical duties as needed. Strong computer and communication skills are essential for success in this position.

Duties

• Coordinate shipping and receiving operations, ensuring accurate and timely processing of goods.
• Interact with truck drivers to manage deliveries and shipments.
• Track shipments, update records, and process orders using computer systems.
• Verify shipment quantities and measurements using basic math.
• Maintain attention to detail and ensure compliance with shipment standards.
• Provide flexibility, including clerical support at an offsite warehouse in Zelienople, PA, and assist with freight operations.
• Manage multiple tasks during busy periods, including guiding trucks, welcoming guests, and coordinating with the dock.

Experience

• At least 1 year of experience in the LTL/FTL industry preferred.
• Background in shipping and receiving is helpful but not required.
• Strong computer skills, including proficiency in basic office software.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Strong communication skills for effective interaction with drivers and team members.
• Ability to work full-time in the office with flexibility to handle various tasks.
