*Overview*
Apt Management is excited to announce that the Leasing Consultant position for the Hagerstown, MD location is open for application. The Consultant should be able to easily use a laptop, printer, cell phone, cell phone apps, and Google Suite products. The Leasing Consultant will maintain a working knowledge of the property management software and continue to check for updates. We strive to be a paperless office.
*Responsibilities*
- Conduct property tours for prospective tenants and highlight the features of available units.
- Adhere to the Fair Housing Standards and maintain a working knowledge of Fair Housing laws and regulations
- Respond to inquiries via phone, email, and in-person regarding leasing availability. Enter all activity into the property management software for full documentation.
- Review applications for completeness and validity. Conduct credit and background checks as directed.
- Schedule and attend showings and inspections to complete the move-in process. Facilitate tours with agents and manage lockboxes. Understand building and apartment layouts.
- Assist with move-in/move-out processes and conduct unit inspections.
- Greet residents around the property and assist them with concerns.
- Document property conditions as needed and communicate updates with the property manager.
- Utilize property management software to maintain accurate tenant records
*Qualifications*
- Previous experience in property leasing or related field preferred but not required
- Knowledge of property maintenance, facilities management, and leasing laws, including fair housing
- Strong negotiation skills with the ability to close deals effectively
- Proficiency in using office software and property management systems
- Excellent phone etiquette and customer service skills. Communicate in a friendly and effective manner.
- Ability to maintain organized files and documentation
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $43,500.00 - $48,500.00 per year
