APT Research is hiring a Systems Emergency Power Supply (EPS) Solar Arrays Engineer to support the Geostationary Extended Observations (GeoXO) satellite system program in Littleton, CO. GeoXO is NOAA's next-generation Geostationary Extended Observations satellite system, designed to revolutionize how we monitor Earth's atmosphere and oceans. GeoXO will deliver critical data to improve forecasts and increase preparedness for severe weather, air quality events, and harmful algal blooms. Key Duties :
- Develop and maintain entry and exit criteria for EPS and solar array-related Preliminary design Review (PDR) and Critical Design Review (CDR) milestones
- Analyze, design, and validate spacecraft EPS architectures, including solar arrays, power regulation, and distribution systems
- Perform solar array sizing, power generation modeling, and degradation analysis to ensure mission longevity
- Define and maintain power budgets for all mission phases
- Track and verify EPS subsystem requirements, interfaces, and design documentation
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure solar array and power system integration meets program requirements
- Review and validate EPS and solar array-related stakeholder slide decks, technical reports, and meeting minutes
- Assign and track EPS and solar array-related action items and ensure timely completion
- Conduct regular follow-ups with EPS engineers and stakeholders to track progress and resolve issues
