Job Description
We are seeking a Supply Chain Director to lead our North America Closures supply chain team. The ideal candidate will have a strategic vision to improve overall processes, leveraging data analytics to forecast demand, leading the SOP process and making informed decisions that enhance inventory management and streamline logistics.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategy Building: Collaborate with senior leadership to align strategic initiatives with business objectives.
- Supply Chain and Customer Service Management: Oversee the entire supply chain process, including procurement, inventory management, logistics, and distribution.
- Forecasting and Planning: Develop and implement strategies for forecasting demand, inventory planning, and procurement to ensure the timely availability of materials while minimizing costs.
- Vendor Management: Identify, evaluate, and manage relationships with global suppliers and vendors.
- Inventory Control: Implement inventory control measures to optimize inventory levels, minimize excess or obsolete stock, and ensure accurate material tracking.
- Quality Assurance: Collaborate with quality control teams to ensure that materials meet quality standards and regulatory requirements.
- Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of materials management professionals.
- Cross-functional collaboration: Foster strong relationships with stakeholders and promote cross-functional collaboration.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration, or a related field.
- Proven experience in materials management, procurement, or supply chain leadership roles in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of supply chain principles, inventory management techniques, and procurement strategies.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in using ERP systems and other relevant materials management and procurement software.
