What are the responsibilities and job description for the Digital Producer Role position at Aptara?
The Aptara Digital Producer (ADP) is a role for a leading K-12 curriculum publisher. As an ADP, you work closely with the Publisher’s internal team and assist with the production and development of digital components. This requires a high degree of flexibility, attention to detail, and skill, both with client-specific databases and processes and platforms like GSuite and Excel.
The ADP role requires the ability and willingness to learn, take initiative, problem-solve, and adapt to changing workflows, needs, and requirements with little or missing information, as well as excellent language and communication skills.
Primary activities include:
● Support Senior Digital Producers, Project Managers, Instructional Designers, and technical teams to transform elementary, middle grade, and high school print content (both student and teacher materials) into accessible digital formats.
o Attend project management, digital producer team, and department meetings.
o Participate in production review cycles for e-text development.
● Create and manage metadata in spreadsheets and information libraries that help communicate project details and scope between design and development teams.
● Manage audio recording process.
● Provide quality assurance review for digital products.
o Review products, report errors, and update content during production review.
● Support Senior Digital Producers, Project Managers, Instructional Designers, and technical teams in any secondary projects that require assistance.
Requirements:
● Strong spreadsheet skills using both Excel and Google Sheets
● Strong attention to detail
● Strong language and communication skills
● Supporting Accessible product development.
● Ability to learn and work with client-specific processes and workflows.
● Ability to multitask and stay organized with several different tasks simultaneously.
● Ability to document processes and provide direction to teams if needed.
● Willingness to ask questions, lead tasks when ready, and report status updates and mitigations to team.
